Love in a lalang field

Yesterday’s photoshoot was all the way at the far end of Tuas – it was an eye-opener for us to be there for the first time! But as the sun began to set, we realised why the journey was totally worthwhile – the rays cast an absolutely gorgeous glow onto the fields, and of course, the beautiful couple aiming for that perfect shot to cherish for all time.

Thanks to Jianping and Lynn for taking our turquoise bike out for a ride – you guys looked absolutely lovely in the beautiful lalang field. Congrats again, and glad we could contribute in some way! Your happy faces are why we love doing this!

Please read – New additions to terms and conditions

Hi everybody, it has been a fun six months and I must say, the interest in our bikes has been very encouraging and surprising! Thanks all for your support :)

We are still learning and trying to work out processes that are reasonable for both us and our customers. In the course of our business, we have come across certain things which have been quite unfortunate, which we now feel we must address with a few new rules.

Here are the two new rules. I hope you guys understand and help us make this a more pleasant and fun exchange!

1. Only cash will be accepted. We’ve had a few instances of people saying they have transferred but the money never came through, so it has been quite frustrating. Bank transfer will only be accepted if it is the full sum before collection, not after.

2. Once the bike is collected and the payment (of either the deposit or the full sum) is made, the rental is final. There will be no repayment of money should you wish to return the bike early, regardless of reason, i.e. the deposit or the full sum will be forfeited. This is because we do take time off to clean the bike, pump the tyres, and prepare it for you. We also schedule time to handover the bikes, so a lot of time is wasted when bikes are returned prematurely.

I hope you guys understand where we are coming from! Don’t worry, we are pretty easy to work with and flexible, so talk to us if you have any concerns!

For those interested in renting, do read our terms and conditions!

A wedding with bicycles and races

So happy to be a part of Ying Tian’s beautiful race-themed wedding yesterday. She’s one of the most cheerful and optimistic girls I know, not to mention she is HOT because of her sporty nature. Here are some photos she shared with us from her Facebook page, as well as screenshots from her instagram hastag #racetcyt. Check out the hastag, loads more photos of the cute pair!

What a beautiful couple, congrats to the both of them and here’s wishing them a wonderful life ahead riding off into the sunset :)

Photoshoot 1 – garden theme

Our bikes have been hard at work, posing prettily as models for our recent mini-photoshoot! It was a fun shoot to do and we enjoyed it thoroughly (even though we were dripping buckets under the hot sun). We are amateur photographers, so the tough part was trying to find the best angles – as any photographer or model would tell you. We hope the pictures will give you some fresh ideas for your wedding photoshoot. We’d love to hear from you if you have other ideas on what may look great for the bikes – so let us know! Of course, the bikes’ uses are not limited to just weddings. It can be used for anything you want – it’s solely up to your own creativity! Check out some of the photos below and let us know what you think. If you want to see more, click Photoshoot 1!

A perfect backdrop in old school playgrounds

A couple rented our bike yesterday for their wedding photo shoot. So exciting! They wanted to go for a retro feel – that means old school coffee shops, toast and eggs, old relics and other nostalgic elements from yesteryear.

In the end they picked one of our favourite spots for a few shots – an old-school dragon playground from a bygone era. It’s one of the last few of such playground structures still standing! How many of you remember sliding down this dragon head slide and feeling absolutely terrified? We do! It was a great time of simplicity and childish delight. We are definitely not fond of the new-age playgrounds, with their shiny, brightly coloured and modern contraptions – but that’s a debate for another day.

We super love how cute our vintage white bike looks at this playground. It definitely added a quaint and romantic touch to the shoot, don’t you think? Imagine what you can do with our bike and a little creativity! :)

We are so happy for the lovely couple! May they have a beautiful and magical wedding :)
